Coywolf Studio

Ian Buchbinder is a Rhode Island based potter focused on creating unique functional ceramics that bring a smile to your face.  Each piece is thrown on a potter's wheel and painted by hand.  In avoiding molds and stencils the designs have room to breathe and evolve over time while staying consistent with the overall aesthetic.  Presently, Ian's work depicts scenes of carefree, joyful astronauts drifting through space accompanied by a menagerie of animal companions.  His work is food-safe, microwaveable, and dishwasher-safe.

Jen Charleson

I often refer to myself as a multidimensional artist because my work mixes mediums both physically and conceptually. I treat my art as a form of spiritual channeling, digging deep to find the hidden threads connecting all things. Multi-sensory explorations of line, form, language, space, and time; flowing, overlapping, bleeding and blending, defying boundaries and often description.  Much of my work begins with a single sphere, and steps off from there. Recognizable patterns of sacred geometry soon become something mysteriously familiar, yet completely unknown.  I allow myself to be drawn in by the unseen energies surrounding all of us and I try to speak for them. My artwork, in a sense, is a visual translation of untellable stories.

Jay MacKay Painting

Since childhood drawing and painting have empowered and transported me into a protected place of self expression. Presently I paint from photographs that I take while wandering around the city. I am drawn to the patches of sunlight and shadows cast by buildings both interior and exterior. I find solitude and shelter in these hidden spaces and moments. This is the passion that drives me to surrender to the vulnerabilities of the creative process and put myself onto the canvas for all to see. As an adolescent I took private oil painting lessons at The Jean Lee Gallery in Stow, MA. I received a BFA in Illustration and Design from the University of Lowell (UMASS). I have also studied at The Worcester Art Museum, Decordova Museum and Sculpture Park and The East Side Art Center. Since May of 2010 I have been showing and selling my work at Studio Hop on the East Side, Providence.

David McCoomb Woodworking

David took a life long interest in woodworking to the next level 20 years back and rented shop space to compliment his occupation as a commercial shell fisherman. He has been building furniture and cabinets over that time and has stockpiled a modest amount of wood. David finished his first guitar three years ago and is  closing in on his second. Woodwork as an agent of sound fascinates him to no end now.

Linda Megathlin

As a photographer and mixed media artist interested in themes of transformation, my work gravitates toward finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, the universal in the commonplace. Creating photographs and mixed media compilations from objects and natural elements we see every day, my focus is on the layers of meaning beyond the surface, surprise couplings and unconscious revelations.

Though I began my art career as a traditional black-and-white news and event photographer, currently I primarily work with abstract digital photography transfers and mixed media collage on non-traditional substrates such as wood, metal and stone papers.

If he doesn't have the instrument for the sound he hears, he designs it.

O & G Studio

O&G Studio’s furniture is remarkable for its duality, fusing updated American Windsor–style design with a boldly modern color palette. Based in Warren, Rhode Island, Glatt and Ossana are steeped in the original colonial design of the region. Glatt remarks of the architecture: “Nothing is anonymous. Every element has a human feel, every element shows the hand of the craftsman.”

The same could be said of the furniture they produce.   -- Mieke ten Have Vogue Magazine
